Project Runway Season 22 Episode 5 | Paper Towel Meltdowns, Giggly Squad Chaos, and Runway Screaming Matches

It’s Episode 5 of Project Runway Season 22, "Viva La Fashion," and the workroom is in absolute shambles as the remaining designers face the ultimate unconventional materials nightmare: transforming Viva paper towels into high-fashion, night-on-the-town looks. The snark squad breaks down all the chaos right after Aaron Potts’ cliffhanger elimination, as mentor Christian Siriano tries to steer the ship while contestants struggle with fragile paper dye tests, tearing seam lines, and total technical meltdowns. To add even more fuel to the fire, Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner from the Giggly Squad podcast drop in to deliver their trademark hilarious commentary, before Heidi Klum forces the designers to brutally turn on each other by naming the weakest competitor in the room.

When the paper finally hit the runway, the real madness erupted at the judges' table during one of the most explosive panel fights in the franchise's history. We dissect the massive showdown between Law Roach, Tyra Banks, and guest judge Willy Chavarria after Law aggressively defended Bi Pham’s design, completely derailing the critiques and leaving the entire panel in shock. With Elizabeth Shevelev, Anna Molinari, and Bobby Diakonenkova trapped in the bottom three—and the show dropping yet another agonizing cliffhanger without revealing a winner or loser—we break down all the workroom backstabbing, judge favoritism, and whether Law and Tyra's clash is officially taking over the season.
