Dr. Safiya Sinclair is the author of the acclaimed memoir How to Say Babylon, which has earned numerous accolades, including the National Book Critics Circle Award for autobiography. It has been named one of the most notable books of the year by outlets like The New York Times, Washington Post, and Time Magazine, and was also featured in former US President Barack Obama's favorite books of 2023. Sinclair is also the author of the poetry collection Cannibal, which has won multiple prestigious awards, including the Metcalfe Award in Literature and the OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Poetry.
