What does marriage actually look like in real life?

After hearing Nathan’s perspective on Christian marriage and Matt’s story of discovering Orthodoxy after already being married, we’re bringing both couples together for a conversation about marriage beyond the wedding day.

In this episode of Veiled in Grace, Anna and Kyra sit down with Nathan and Matt to talk honestly about the everyday realities of married life—communication, conflict, forgiveness, sacrifice, family, faith, and the ways marriage continually calls us to grow.

We talk about what we’ve learned through our own marriages, the things husbands and wives can misunderstand about one another, how our expectations of marriage have changed, and what it looks like to keep choosing love and forgiveness through different seasons of life.

We also take a deeper look at what it means to build a Christian household. From the wedding at Cana to the example of the saints, Christian marriage is not simply about finding the right person or having a happy relationship. It is a calling to love, sacrifice, repent, forgive, and help one another grow closer to Christ.

Our marriages—and our journeys to Orthodoxy—have looked very different. But in both, we’ve seen that God works through the ordinary, difficult, beautiful process of learning to love another person well.
