Today, Becca Meredith, a passionate advocate for women's health, joins us. Becca began with a Bachelor’s in Health Studies and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy. Her career spans from home health to hospital settings, and in 2018, she ventured into yoga instruction, specializing in chair yoga and prenatal/postnatal care.
Driven by her own pelvic health challenges, Becca pursued advanced training, including pelvic floor therapy and certifications in pregnancy/postpartum corrective exercise. She is also a Reiki 1 practitioner and completed Holistic Treatment of the Postpartum Body training.
In our conversation, Becca shares insights into pelvic anatomy and physiology, the significance of optimal positioning during childbirth, factors influencing pelvic floor health, practical ways to connect with the pelvic floor, and essential postpartum care, including awareness around prolapse.
