Episode 364: Classic Jazz Albums with Weird Titles

Gnu High, Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus MIngus, Now He Sings Now He Sobs, Weasels Ripped My Flesh, In Case You Forget How Bad He Really Was, Deer Wan, Mingus Ah Um!, Nude Ants. I play a track from each of these albums--many of which, despite (or because?) of their titles ended up on a lot of "classic jazz albums you must hear" lists.

In many of these instances I try to figure out the relevance of the title. With limited success, I admit. Except for Chick Corea's Now He Sings, Now He Sobs. Corea himself explained that one.

But it's all great music!
