It's not just a few classic jazz albums that have weird titles (see Episode 364). Of the 2000 or so new releases so far this year, there are some strange ones. But does the music or the story behind them reflect the title? Some do and some don't.
Here are some of the titles:
-The Vigil and The Sleeping Giant. -Whiskey Scented Kisses -Deface The Currency -Manifestations of a Diasporic Groove and Spirit -Our Community Will Not Be Erased -Blues in Blueprint: 12 Variations of the Blues -Asymmetrical Dot -Dance! Skip! Hop! -Kinda Out West
In this episode I play a track from some of those new releases, and, when possible, explore the reasons behind those titles.
