Luke 24:13-35 — On the Road to Emmaus (Ep.034) A. Third Sunday of Easter

Jesus has resurrected and walks with two men along the road to Emmaus. They do not recognize Jesus. They are sad about his death. Jesus explains what the scriptures (Old Testament) say about him. He says that “the Christ had to suffer these things and then enter his glory”. Later they have a meal together and as Jesus breaks the bread they recognize him and then he disappears.
