John the Baptist was surprised when Jesus came to him to be baptized. John thought that he should be baptized by Jesus. After Jesus is baptized we see in one moment the trinity. The Father says “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” Also the Holy Spirit comes down to Jesus like a dove. One take away is that we too can tell our children that we love them and that they please us just as the Father did to Jesus.
