TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE:

Colossians 3:2–3

[2] Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. [3] For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (ESV)

SUMMARY

We pause over Colossians 3:2-3 and choose to aim our thoughts toward what is above instead of what keeps us trapped on earth. We remember that our real life is hidden with Christ, and we end the day asking God to trade our anxiety for His peace. 

• setting our minds on things above rather than earthly fixation 
• how sinful thought patterns can consume us over time 
• choosing godly focus as an act of the will empowered by the Holy Spirit 
• seeing responsibilities through a heavenly lens without ignoring them 
• identity anchored in being redeemed and hidden with Christ in God 
• praying for rest and learning to push away stress for joy and comfort
