James 3:13
[13] Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. (ESV)
SUMMARY
We slow down with James 3:13 and use it to examine our day through the lens of wisdom and conduct. We bring our regrets to God, confess what went wrong, and ask for the meekness of wisdom to shape how we live tomorrow.
• James 3:13 as a test for true wisdom
• Good conduct as evidence of wisdom at work
• Common failures like anger impatience and unethical choices
• Wisdom as something we cultivate daily over time
• Asking God for wisdom without fear of reproach
• Confessing sin and making things right with others
• Praying for wisdom to permeate our hearts as we sleep
Confess your sins. Make it right with people you need to make it right with. And ask God to give you the wisdom you need so that your conduct can be good conduct going forward according to the meekness of wisdom.
