TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE:
2 Corinthians 4:16–18
[16] So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. [17] For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison
SUMMARY
We read 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 and face the reality that our bodies get worn down by suffering and age. We hold to the promise that God renews our inner self day by day and is preparing eternal glory that outweighs today’s pain.
• the difference between outer weakness and inner renewal
• how aches, weariness, and aging can trigger discouragement
• why we do not lose heart because of Jesus’ promises
• the Holy Spirit’s power as real help for daily burdens
• “light, momentary affliction” compared to eternal glory
• choosing rest and hope even when you hurt
So lay your head down and rest tonight, even if you're in pain, knowing that glory awaits you.
