TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE:

John 5:24

[24] Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. (ESV)

SUMMARY

We slow down with Jesus’ words in John 5:24 and let “Truly, truly” pull our attention toward a promise strong enough to carry us into sleep. We reflect on eternal life, the end of judgment, and the cross so we can lay down tonight with gratitude and steady faith.

• Hearing Christ’s word as receiving His teaching about who He is 
• Believing the Father who sent Jesus as the doorway to eternal life 
• Eternal life as lasting fellowship with God that begins now 
• Passing from death to life as a real spiritual change 
• No judgment because Jesus takes it on the cross 
• A closing prayer of thanks and a request for faith for tomorrow
