TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE:
1 Peter 3:18
[18] For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, (ESV)
SUMMARY
We slow down with 1 Peter 3:18 and let the gospel speak louder than fear as the day ends. We reflect on Jesus suffering once for sins so we can rest, reconnect with God, and face tomorrow from a place of finished work.
• reading 1 Peter 3:18 as a guided evening meditation
• the heart of God behind the cross and what it reveals about God’s motive
• Christ suffering once for sins as a decisive, sufficient act
• Jesus as substitute and atonement for the unrighteous
• being brought to God through faith rather than self-effort
• the resurrection as hope that steadies the anxious mind at night
