TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE:

John 15:12–14

[12] “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. [13] Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. [14] You are my friends if you do what I command you. (ESV)

SUMMARY

We slow down in John 15:12–14 and take Jesus at his word when he commands us to love one another the way he has loved us. We rest in the personal reality of his friendship and sacrifice, then face the hard, practical call to reflect that same love to our brothers and sisters.
