Proverbs 16:4

The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble. (ESV)

SUMMARY

We reflect on Proverbs 16:4 and the comfort of knowing God makes everything for a purpose, even when life feels confusing or painful. We wrestle honestly with the “why” behind hardship and end by choosing humble trust in God’s good heart shown through Jesus Christ.

• Proverbs 16:4 as a stabilizing promise in uncertainty 
• the lifelong habit of asking “why” and how it follows us into adulthood 
• God as Creator and the claim that nothing happens by accident 
• the difficult line about “the wicked” and God’s control without surprise 
• the tension of not understanding evil while trusting God works for good 
• humility as silence before God rather than forced explanations 
Ponder them and begin asking the Lord to reveal them to you as you prepare for today’s evening mindset.
