SUMMARY
We meditate on Proverbs 11:12 and confront the habit of belittling others to boost ourselves. We choose humility over pride by staying quiet when criticism rises and by learning to lift people up with gracious words.
• reading Proverbs 11:12 as an evening meditation
• noticing how belittling can be a pride reflex or a mindless habit
• seeing “neighbor” as anyone we talk about or judge
• choosing silence as a sign of understanding and self-awareness
• applying the golden rule to how we speak about others
• praying for humility, kindness, and a life that represents Jesus well
