TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE:

Hebrews 2:14–15

Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, [15] and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. (ESV)

SUMMARY

We read Hebrews 2:14–15 and trace why Jesus takes on flesh and blood to break death’s power. We land on the hope that his indestructible life frees us from fear and gives us a future we do not have to dread.
