When not operating Oakland, California’s Earhammer Studio (and working with bands like Necrot, High On Fire and Ulthar), Greg Wilkinson makes his own extreme music.
These days Wilkinson’s multiple active bands include death-metal unit Static Abyss, legendary gore enthusiasts Autopsy (who Wilkinson joined the ranks of in recent years) and punk-grind-metal concoction Deathgrave—whose latest record Hell Is Evil comes out on Tankcrimes on the 21st of August.
Wilkinson joins me to discuss the latest record, the band, his work behind the desk and his part in the Autopsy story.
