526 - Saw 2 (2005) Rewatch! Guest Matt Banever

Alec and returning guest Matt Banevar continue their journey through the Saw franchise with Saw II (2005), where Jigsaw trades one creepy bathroom for an entire house full of poisoned victims, questionable decisions, and enough needles to make you reconsider healthcare altogether. The guys break down Donnie Wahlberg’s aggressively angry detective, Amanda’s growing role in Jigsaw’s twisted operation, Xavier being the absolute worst, the infamous needle pit, some truly questionable trap logic, and a twist that completely changes what we’ve been watching for the last 90 minutes. Plus, Matt shares the unbelievable story of the time Donnie Wahlberg apparently stole his booze, his friends, and his VIP section. Is Saw II a worthy sequel that expands the franchise without simply copying the original? Or is Jigsaw just a sick architect with way too much free time and access to industrial equipment? Alec and Matt investigate.
