498 - The Mummy Returns (2001)

Today we are talking about the action-packed, supernatural spectacle of The Mummy Returns (2001). Join Alec & Erik as we revisit Rick O’Connell, Evelyn, and their son Alex on a globe-trotting adventure filled with spooky ancient mummy curses, resurrected WWF star warriors, and one very angry Billy Zane looking  Imhotep. We break down what makes this sequel bigger, louder, and more chaotic than its predecessor, from the introduction of the PS2 graphics of the Scorpion King to the film’s ambitious and sometimes questionable early-2000s CGI. Whether you’re a longtime fan or watching it for the first time, this episode is your ticket back to the sands of ancient Egypt. Enjoy!
