Legacy Dance Tribute: Hex Hector Mixology Vol. 8 (2015)

Legacy Dance Tribute — Hex Hector Mixology Volume 8 (2015) closes an eight-volume salute to one of club culture’s definitive remixers. This final instalment collects extended club mixes and peak-hour edits that showcase Hector’s gift for turning big vocal songs into dancefloor anthems while spotlighting longtime collaborators and co‑producers. Volume 8 leans on the Hex Hector sound and notable partnerships with Mac Quayle, pairing towering vocal reworks with tougher club treatments. Highlights include Toni Braxton’s HQ2-inflected club turn, Gloria Estefan’s 12" vocal remix, Christina Milian’s Hex Hector & Mac Quayle rework, plus deeper cuts and gospel‑inflected peak moments from Dawn Tallman. The sequence saves its biggest pop‑to‑club statements for the end with Hex’s extended mixes of Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. As a capstone, this mix reminds listeners that even eight volumes only skim Hector’s catalog. If this installment connects, the set is an invitation to explore more of his remixes, edits, and rare floor-focused gems.
