EDM Tribute: Coldplay Remixes 2018 (Legacy Dance Tribute)

This Legacy Dance Tribute spotlights Coldplay’s migration from stadium rock into EDM and house territory, presenting a 2018-ready collection of remixes that rework familiar anthems for clubs and festivals. The mix examines how melodic, emotional songwriting from Parachutes to A Head Full Of Dreams translates into peak-time arrangements, highlighting the dialogue between orchestral hooks and electronic drops. Standout reinterpretations include Hardwell’s festival-sized reinvention of “A Sky Full Of Stars” (with Avicii production), Giorgio Moroder’s retro-futurist spin on “Midnight,” and Cor Fijneman’s orchestral-house take on “Viva la Vida.” Also featured are Alesso’s high-energy remix of “Something Just Like This,” the Swedish House Mafia & Alesso rework of “Fix You,” and the FKYA & Khøst electronic revamp of “Yellow.” Rather than catalogue Coldplay’s whole discography, this set emphasizes transformative remixes that keep the band’s emotional core while giving their songs new dance-floor meaning. Enjoy the unexpected turns and singalong payoffs these producers bring to familiar material.
