House Legacy: David Morales Legacy Volume 2 (2017)

This Legacy dance tribute (2017) honors David Morales’s commercial-meets-underground approach to house, mapping how he refashions pop, Urban, and Latin originals into cohesive club statements. Volume 2 spotlights Morales’s ability to preserve a song’s soul while reworking it for peak-time floors, turning familiar radio moments into extended dance journeys. Highlights include Morales’s Choice Mix of CeCe Peniston’s “Finally,” the club reworking of Lara Fabian’s “I Will Love Again,” and his Latin-tinged remixes for Gloria Estefan, alongside sharp edits of Heavy D & The Boyz, a Morales take on Spice Girls, and an Enrique Iglesias club mix. Running just over ninety minutes, the set reads like a compact history of crossover dance production—nostalgic, well-curated, and consistent in its thread of Morales’s signature rhythmic polish.
