House Music Legacy: Junior Vasquez Volume 1 (2020)

This Legacy Dance Tribute (House, 2020) honors Junior Vasquez with a deep dive into his Sound Factory era anthems, early Ellis D productions, and long-form club remixes. Party Favorz assembled official mixes, rare unauthorized edits, and extended takes to illustrate why Junior’s work shaped American house and diva-driven dance floors. Expect dramatic peak-building mixes and precise edits that preserve the era’s theatrical drops. Highlights include Ellis D’s “Drag Queen,” Junior’s Sound Factory mix of Madonna’s “Secret” and his club mix of “I Want You,” plus reworks of Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, and Nomad. Many selections run nine minutes or longer; the set compresses decades of output into a focused, 2:44:07 statement meant to remind listeners that Junior Vasquez’s legacy remains central to remix culture and the history of club music.
