Legacy Dance Tribute: Peter Rauhofer Volume 1 (2013)

This Legacy Dance Tribute from 2013 honors Peter Rauhofer with a two-volume celebration of his remixes, productions, and Club 69 persona. Party Favorz collects Rauhofer’s signature energy across progressive, circuit, and house classics to show why he became a touchstone for gay dance floors worldwide. The mix is both a memorial and a study of his fearless approach to reworking pop and diva material. Highlights include Rauhofer’s takes on Madonna, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Donna Summer, and Annie Lennox, alongside Club 69 anthems and reconstructions that trace his range from glossy vocal edits to peak-time club dynamics. Track 10 features Rauhofer’s own “Real Bitch” and the set quotes his irreverent spirit with the line, “This is the REAL THING, BITCH!” Rather than simply mourn, this first volume celebrates the craft, attitude, and lasting influence of a remixer who helped define modern dance-floor diva culture.
