80s Dance Classics Tribute: Prince Dance Music Sex Romance (2019)

This 80s dance-music tribute (2019) celebrates Prince with a DJ-friendly, floor-ready set of extended edits and contemporary remixes. Party Favorz reworks classic material into long-form edits for easy mixing while keeping the songs’ original spirit, offering a dance-oriented retelling of Prince’s catalog. Highlights include Kue’s modern remixes of “Controversy” and “Purple Rain,” Digital Visions’ re-edits of “I Would Die 4 U,” “Raspberry Beret,” “Kiss,” and “When Doves Cry,” plus a club-ready Scotty Boy remix of “Erotic City” featuring Sheila E. The set also leans on Hot Classics, Select Mix, Alkalino, and other reworkers to stretch arrangements for DJs without losing the emotional core of tracks like “Little Red Corvette” and “Let’s Go Crazy.” Built from Prince’s mix of funk, rock, new wave, soul, and pop, this mix is a respectful, dancefloor-focused tribute that foregrounds playability and the songwriting that made him central to the eighties and beyond.
