Legacy Dance Tribute: Simply Red (2017) House Remixes

House-forward Legacy Dance Tribute from 2017 reframes Simply Red’s blue-eyed soul for the club, collecting remixes that preserve Mick Hucknall’s vocal warmth while adding dance-floor energy. This mix is built to celebrate the band’s classics in new forms, pairing emotional songs with extended club treatments and modern production. Highlights include Love To Infinity’s takes on “Sunrise” and “Perfect Love,” the Phunk Investigation Extended Club Mix of “Fake,” and Haji & Emanuel’s rework of “Money’s Too Tight (To Mention).” Too Precious’s remix of “Fairground” and Mousse T.’s club treatment bring euphoric peaks, while a retro rework from DJ Sacflashback gives “Holding Back the Years” a tempo-conscious twist. The set balances nostalgia and danceability across nearly two hours. If you enjoy soulful songwriting recast as roomy, house-ready mixes, this tribute walks that line—respectful to the originals but crafted for the late-night floor. Dedicated to Marshall with love.
