Chris Anderson, the head of TED, told Lewis he doesn’t believe in some karmic deal where giving makes the universe send you money. What he does see is that generous people attract the best talent, because great minds want to work for a cause.

Tesla gave away its patents to recruit great engineers. Chris would go further and publish Coke’s secret recipe, then offer a $10 million prize for a version with less sugar and launch it as the People’s Coke.
